The 2011 Mobile Home Bills have been prepared and were mailed on Monday, February 28, 2011. The due date to avoid penalties is Friday April 29th by 5 p.m., in the Lawrence County Treasurer’s Office, located in the Courthouse Annex at 1106 Jefferson Street Lawrenceville, Illinois 62439, unlike real estate taxes these payments can not be paid at the banks.
Please be aware, that there is a drop box located outside the office entrance and any payments placed in drop box prior to the office opening at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 2nd, will be considered as on time.
ATTENTION: IF YOU REQUIRE A PAID RECEIPT PLEASE ENCLOSE A SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE WITH YOUR PAYMENT, OTHERWISE YOUR CANCELLED CHECK IS YOUR RECEIPT.
Failure to pay taxes on time will result in a penalty of $25.00 per month or any portion of a month past the due date. Also any unpaid taxes will be sold at the annual Lawrence County Tax Sale.
