Mobile Home/ Manufactured Home Owners:
The 2009 Mobile Home Bills have been prepared and will be mailed on Friday, March 6, 2009. They will be due and payable on Monday, May 4th, 2009 by 5 p.m., in the Lawrence County Treasurer’s Office, located in the Courthouse Annex at 1106 Jefferson St Lawrenceville, Illinois 62439.
ATTENTION: IF YOU REQUIRE A PAID RECEIPT YOU MUST ENCLOSE A STAMPED SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE WITH YOUR PAYMENT, YOUR CANCELLED CHECK IS A RECEIPT.
Please be aware, that there is a drop box located outside the office entrance and any payments placed in drop box prior to the office opening at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5th, will be considered as on time.
The manner in which Delinquent Taxes on Mobile Homes/ Manufactured Homes is collected has been changed by the enactment of the “Mobile Home Local Services Tax Enforcement Act”. Failure to pay taxes on time will result in a penalty of $25.00 per month or any portion of a month past the due date. Also any unpaid taxes will be sold at the annual Lawrence County Tax Sale.

Lawrence County’s Eighth Cash Dash
Mark A. Carrithers, Lawrence County Treasurer, in cooperation with Alexi Giannoulias, the Illinois State Treasurer, will be sponsoring Lawrence County’s Eighth Cash Dash on Thursday April 2nd, from 10 AM until 2 PM in the Lawrence County Annex at 1106 Jefferson St.
The object of the Cash Dash is to return to citizens, unclaimed property that has been held by the State Treasurer’s Office in Springfield, Illinois. Lists of the unclaimed property have been distributed throughout the county in order for persons to see if they have unclaimed property. Please check the list then come to claim what is rightfully yours at the Cash Dash, our list has
$ 498,589.30 in value and some of this could be yours. Please Help Us Help You Claim Your Money!!!!
The last Cash Dash was very successful; however if you still have not received your property do not despair, come again and check with the representatives from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office. We are still working to get what is rightfully yours to you, so come and check.
