Established in 1950, Lawrence County Memorial Hospital has a rich history of serving the medical needs of our community.
The hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital licensed by the State of Illinois offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services.
At the core of the hospital is a 5,200 square foot Emergency Department completed in the year 2003, containing a medical screening area, a major trauma room, four minor procedure/examination rooms, and a decontamination room. The Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 by a team of highly experienced emergency physicians and nurses.

Lawrence County Health Department located west of Lawrenceville, IL, was formed as a result of a Federal Defense Zone shortly after World War II. The department has sixty-three employees including physicians, nurses, nurses aides, social workers, physical therapists, various technicians and a large support staff. Services include Home Health, Women, Infant and Children programs, Family Planning, STD Assessment Counseling and treatment, Environmental Health inspections, Behavioral Health Services, Alcohol and Substance Services and Hearing/Vision Screening evaluation.
