May-October Farmers Market on the square in Lawrenceville, every Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Now through Oct.-30 Dorney’s Pumpkin Patch, R.R. 2, Lawrenceville. Saturdays - 12-5:00 p.m., Sundays – 1:00-4:00 p.m. Hay rides, choo choo rides, gourd slingshots, a gold mine, slide (also a smaller one for smaller children), a bouncy house for the small ones, a dark straw crawl, and corn maze. We also have concessions and a pre picked lot of pumpkins. You are welcome to pick your own from the patch for a fun experience. Prices range from one to seven dollars for pumpkins. An admission is six dollars a person and children two and under is free. For more information call 943-2699.
October 22------Spooktacular will be held at Lawrenceville City Park; from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Costume contest and a trick or treat walk immediately following. For more information contact city hall at 943-4946.

November 4, 5, & 6------ “THE BIRDCAGE” a play by the Lawrence County Arts Council will be held at the Lawrenceville High School Auditorium. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 & 5 will be held at 7:00 pm and on Sunday, Nov. 6th at 2:00 pm.
November 8------The Lawrence County Arts Council Board of Directors meet monthly the second Tuesday at 7:00 pm at Q's restaurant. All members are welcome to attend as well as those interested in joining LCAC LCAC web site
November 24------Thanksgiving Day Meal for the Community of Lawrence County, IL will provide a Thanksgiving meal. Dine and Fellowship with us at noon (12:00 pm) at the Red Hill High School Cafeteria, Bridgeport or Home Delivery is available. Please call to make your reservation by November 11th by calling 945-4421 or 945-3581.
November 25-26------ Lawrence Co. Chamber of Commerce hosts the 23rd Annual Basketball Capital Classic. Championship games to be held at the Red Hill site this year. For more information, contact the chamber at 943-3516.
